Innovative Real Estate Management and Investment Solutions
As a European investment boutique, we rigorously analyse the impact of the wider economy and embrace innovation to help our clients navigate any uncertainty.
The Firm
Founded by the shareholders Jos Short and Jochen Schaefer-Suren together with Peter Lenhardt and Chris Curtis as the two initial directors, IREMIS is a boutique real estate investment management firm based in Luxembourg.
“IREMIS” stands for Innovative Real Estate Management & Investment Solutions. It focuses on specialist real estate asset classes and how to overcome the current challenges by developing and executing innovative strategies, identifying opportunities for investors, while considering all stakeholders, to achieve sustainable above average returns in the future.
Specifically, we will provide strategic and restructuring advisory, investment transaction and asset management services in private and public markets as well as separate account and fund management together with partners and investors. We can add value not only for our institutional investor clientele, but also lenders and occupiers. We will be active in core, value add and opportunistic strategies and also co-investments across Europe.
Our Team
The IREMIS’ senior team has extensive experience and track record in large and complex real estate developments, investments as well as investment banking and fund management in senior positions and/or on boards of private and public companies. The shareholders created from “scratch” new real estate platforms reaching more than €4.4 Billion of AUM prior to successful sales for investors.
Jochen Schaefer-Suren and the IREMIS management team provide a wealth of experience, track-record and network in hotel and leisure real estate investments. During their careers, they managed hotel investments as part of (regulated) funds, large separate accounts, on behalf of owners, operators and banks, from core to opportunistic and from budget to ultra luxury. This included asset and portfolio management, financial structuring, developments and large capex projects and complex restructuring situations.
